A single tablet treatment for threadworms
Threadworms are small, white worms that live in the gut and can be seen in stool. Although harmless, they cause significant discomfort due to itching and irritation around the anus, especially at night.
Ovex contains mebendazole, which prevents threadworms from absorbing the sugars they need to survive. This one-dose treatment will kill the threadworms. depletes the worms’ energy source, ultimately killing them.
A single dose of Ovex will kill the threadworms, but it may not eliminate their eggs, leading to possible re-infection and spread to others. It is strongly recommended that all family members (except pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under two) be treated simultaneously and that precautions are taken to prevent re-infection.
