Description

 The active ingredient in Voltarol Emulgel,is diclofenac which belong to  non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) family. These drugs work by decreasing the production of prostaglandins, a chemical in the body that significantly contributes to inflammation.

 

The Gel penetrates the skin to provide direct relief to the affected area, offering relief from rheumatic pain, joint and muscle sprains, strains, and bruises. Its cooling formula is non-greasy and non-staining.

Warnings

  • Do not use for more than 14 days unless advised by a doctor.
  • Do not exceed the stated dose.
  • Do not store above 30 degrees.
  • Do not use if the seal is broken.
  • Do not apply to cuts, wounds, sunburn skin or other area where the skin is abnormal , or near the eyes or nose.
  • Do not cover with bandage or plaster.
  • Keep out of the sight and reach of children

Directions

Apply a small amount of gel to the affected area, roughly the size of a one or two-penny piece. Massage the gel into the skin until absorbed, then wash your hands.

For optimal results, apply Voltarol twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening. Do not use Voltarol for more than two weeks without consulting your doctor.

Also contains:

Butylhydroxytoluene, Carbomers, Cocoyl Caprylocaprate, Diethylamine, Isopropyl Alcohol, Liquid Paraffin, Macrogol Cetostearyl Ether, Oleyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Perfume, Purified Water.

Side Effects

 

Possible side effects include mild and temporary skin reactions at the application site. In very rare cases, allergic reactions may occur.
