Description

Imodium is designed to relieve short-term diarrhea and diarrhea associated with IBS.

It helps reduce the frequency of bowel movements, alleviating symptoms so you can feel more comfortable.

Each Imodium capsule contains 2mg of the active ingredient Loperamide. This ingredient works by slowing down an overactive bowel, allowing your body to absorb the water and salts typically lost during diarrhea.

Warnings

  • Do not take more than 6 tablets in any 24-hour period
  • You must be at least 16 years old to purchase this product.
  • Keep out of the sight and reach of children
  • Read the leaflet carefully before use
  • For the symptomatic relief of diarrhoea only and is not a substitute for rehydration therapy
  • If your symptoms change, or your diarrhoea lasts longer than 72hrs, consult a clinician
  • Store in the original package
  • Do not use your medicine after the date shown as the expiry date on the packaging
  • Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist

Directions

For sudden, short-term (acute) diarrhea:

Adults and children over 12 years:

  • Take 2 capsules initially. If needed, take 1 additional capsule after each subsequent loose bowel movement, up to a maximum of 6 capsules per day.

For diarrhea associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) previously diagnosed by a doctor:

Adults 18 years and older:

  • Take 2 capsules initially. If necessary, take 1 additional capsule after each subsequent loose bowel movement, or follow the dosage instructions provided by your doctor
