Double strength cream for effective treatment and soothing relief of external thrush symptoms. Each 20g tube of Canesten Thrush Cream contains 400mg of Clotrimazole (2% w/w).

If you require treatment for vaginal thrush, you may use Canesten Pessary 500mg or Fluconazole 150mg oral capsule. For further advice, consult the Pharmacy Advance team.

Suitable for: Adults between 16 – 60 years of age.

Description

Thrush, caused by a yeast infection, is quite common. It is triggered by a fungus called Candida, which thrives in warm, moist environments. Factors that increase the likelihood of thrush include: skin irritation, hormonal changes, such as those during pregnancy or menopause, antibiotics, a weakened immune system due to conditions like HIV or treatments like chemotherapy.

Canesten Thrush Cream provides effective treatment and soothing relief of the itching caused by thrush. It can also be used to treat the male partner.

Directions

Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.

- Wash your hands before and after using the cream.

- Apply the cream thinly to affected areas 2 or 3 times a day and rub in gently.

- Treatment should be continued for up to one week after treating the internal infection in women and for two weeks in men.

- If symptoms persist consult your doctor.

Ingredients

Active ingredient: 

Clotrimazole 400mg (2%w/w).

Also contains: 

Benzyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate, cetyl palmitate, cetostearyl alcohol, octyldodecanol and purified water (see the enclosed leaflet for further information).
