NHS Contraception Service

Pharmacy Advance’s NHS contraception service provides a convenient way to initiate or continue your birth control pill regimen without the need for an appointment with your GP or a sexual health clinic.

Our service is entirely free of charge, both for the supply and delivery of your prescribed medication.

Why get your contraception through Pharmacy Advance?

It’s free: You don’t pay for the call, the delivery, or the pills themselves.
Easy to use: Get up to a year’s worth of contraception without needing to see your doctor in person.
Delivered to you: We send your pills to your home for free, and it’s discreet.
No waiting: Just a simple phone call from your own home.

Who can use this contraception service?

If you already take birth control pills (either the combined pill or the progestogen-only pill, sometimes called the mini-pill) or want to start taking them, our pharmacist may be able to help.

To use this service, you need to be between the age you started your periods and 49 years old (or 54 years old for the progestogen-only pill).

Please note that this service is not for emergency contraception (like the morning-after pill) or for other types of contraception like implants or injections.

During your phone call, you will need to tell us your height and weight, and you might need to take your own blood pressure reading. If you’re not sure if this service is right for you, please get in touch with our team, and they can help you.
