Infected insect bites

An infected insect bite can be identified by increasing redness and swelling around the bite area, often accompanied by escalating pain and a feeling of warmth. You might also notice pus or fluid oozing from the site, and in some cases, red streaks may appear on the skin spreading outwards.

We might be able to help if you:

Are an adult, or suspect a child in your care over 1 year old has developed an infected insect bite.
