Description

Melatonin 3mg tablets are designed to help alleviate the symptoms of jet lag, a common issue faced by travelers crossing multiple time zones. Jet lag can lead to sleep disturbances, daytime fatigue, irritability, and digestive problems. Melatonin, a hormone naturally produced by the body, plays a crucial role in regulating the sleep-wake cycle. By supplementing with melatonin tablets, you can help restore your body's natural rhythm, making it easier to adjust to new time zones and improve sleep quality.

How Does Melatonin Work?

Melatonin works by regulating the body's circadian rhythm, which is the internal clock that dictates the sleep-wake cycle. It is produced by the pineal gland in response to darkness, signaling to the body that it is time to prepare for sleep. When taken as a prescription, melatonin binds to MT1 and MT2 receptors in the brain, promoting drowsiness and lowering body temperature, which helps facilitate sleep onset and maintenance. This mechanism makes melatonin particularly effective in reducing the symptoms of jet lag by realigning the body's internal clock with the new time zone.
